Most stones are cut to the shape which is best derived from the specific piece of rough. We do not concentrate on cutting calibrated stones, but feel different shapes and sizes give the artist/craftsman more creative license in their designs.

Many stones offered on the market are cut very thin, which invites breakage. All our stones have substantial thickness, to insure years of wear.

All stones are cut to be easily set in bezel settings. If you prefer a radiused girdle and polished back, add five dollars to stone price.

Occasionally stones will have fracture lines. Some fractures are naturally healed. We try to break the stone along these lines before and after cutting. Any stones with more than minor fractures will be offered as seconds, with no guarantee against breakage.

Stones are guaranteed against breakage while being set. If not satisfied stones can be returned within 30 days.
